Mr. Rajkumar Kettimuthu Oral Session 1.1
Rajkumar Kettimuthu received the B.E. degree from Anna University, Chennai, India, and an M.S. and Ph.D. from the Ohio State University, Columbus, OH, USA, all in Computer Science and Engineering. Since 2003 he has been working at Argonne National Laboratory, where he is currently a Computer Scientist in the Mathematics and Computer Science Division. He also holds joint appointments at The University of Chicago as a Senior Fellow in the Computation Institute and at Northern Illinois University as a Graduate Faculty Scholar. His research is focused on software-defined networking, intersection of HPC and cloud, data-intensive computing, and high-speed transfer of large-scale data. He has co-authored more than 90 articles in the above-mentioned areas. He is a recipient of R&D 100 award. He is a senior member of both IEEE and ACM.
Dr. Vivek Agarwal Oral Session 1.2
Prof. Dr. Vivek Agarwal received the Bachelor's degree from St. Stephen's College, Delhi University, India and the integrated Master's degree in electrical engineering from IISc, Bangalore, India. He received Ph.D. degree from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Victoria, BC, Canada. He is currently working as a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, IITB, India. He works on the modeling, design and development of new power converter conīŦgurations, intelligent and hybrid control of power electronic systems, power quality issues, electromagnetic interference (EMI) / electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) issues, and conditioning of energy from renewable energy sources and their interfaces for stand-alone and grid connected applications. Dr. Agarwal is an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transaction on Power Electronics, an Editor of the IEEE Transaction on Smart Grid, a Research Ambassador of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), a fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineering, a fellow of IETE, and a Life Member of the Indian Society for Technical Education. Dr. Vivek Agarwal is a Co-investigator in the STAPP project.
Dr. Bernard Menezes Oral Session 1.3
Professor Bernard L. Menezes earned a B. Tech. in Electrical Engineering from IIT Bombay, an M. S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and a Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin in Electrical and Computer Engineering. He has been a professor for over 25 years. He was a faculty member in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department and the Institute for Advanced Computer Studies at the University of Maryland at College Park. He was also a faculty member in Mumbai University and a visiting faculty member at the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque. He is currently professor in the Department of Computer Science at IIT Bombay.

He has taught over 13 courses in Computer Science/Information Technology and supervised over 60 M. S. / M. Tech / Ph.D. students across five continents. He has published widely in national and international workshops, conferences, and journals including the IEEE Transactions on Computers, the IEEE Transactions on Reliability, and the International Journal of Parallel Computing. His research interests include Network Security and Cryptography, Parallel Computing, Smart E-Business and Forecasting. He has authored a comprehensive book on Network Security and Cryptography by Cengage Publishers.
Dr. B. K. Krishna Mohan Oral Session 1.4
Dr. B. Krishna Mohan received B. Tech in Electronics & Communications Engineering from JNTU, Hyderabad in 1981. In 1983 he completed M Tech in Communications Engineering from IIT Bombay. He received Ph.D. in Digital Image Analysis from IIT Bombay in 1991. Since 1982 Dr. B. Krishna is associated with IIT Mumbai under various cadres like Research fellow, Research engineer, principal research engineer, Associate professor. He is currently Professor in IIT Mumbai. His research interests include Digital Image Processing and Analysis, Geographic Information Systems, Soft computing techniques for image analysis etc. He has received grants from DST and Fellowship from both UNDP and British Council.

He received M. N. SAHA memorial award for best application oriented paper published in the IETE Journal of Research entitled Classification of Remotely Sensed Images Using Artificial Neural Networks in April 2003 the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE). He has been a reviewer for International Journal of Remote Sensing, UK, and International Journal of Geoinformatics, Thailand.
Dr. Sanjay S. Pawar Oral Session 1.5
Dr. Sanjay S. Pawar received his M. Tech and Ph.D. degree from IIT Bombay, in the year 1998 and 2010 respectively. Currently he is working as Principal, Usha Mittal Institute of Technology, SNDT University, Mumbai. His current area of research includes Optical Network, Access and backbone Networks, Software Defined Networks and Storages, 5G Wireless Networks. He has published many articles in the peer reviewed, international journals. He is a senior member of the IEEE Communication Society. He also holds a position of section treasurer of IEEE Bombay section.
Dr. S. N. Merchant Oral Session 1.6
Dr. S. N. Merchant is a Professor in Dept. of EE, IIT Bombay. He has received his B. Tech, M. Tech and Ph.D. degrees all from Dept. of EE, IIT-Bombay. He is currently working as a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Bombay. Dr. Merchant has made significant contributions in the field of signal processing and its applications. His noteworthy contributions have been in solving state of the art signal and image processing problems faced by Indian defense. His broad area of research interests are signal and image processing, multimedia communication, wireless sensor networks and wireless communications, and has published extensively in these areas. Dr. Merchant is a reviewer for many leading international and national journals and conferences. He is a Fellow of IETE. He is a recipient of 10th IETE Prof. S. V. C. Aiya Memorial Award for his contribution in the field of detection and tracking.
Dr. Sunil Kumar K. Oral Session 2.1
Dr. Sunil Kumar Kopparapu (Senior Member, IEEE; ACM Senior Member India) obtained his doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, India in 1997.

Between 1997 - 2000 he was with the Automation Group, Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO), Brisbane, Australia working on practical image processing and 3D vision problems, mainly for the benefit of the Australian mining industry.

Prior to joining the Cognitive Systems Research Laboratory (CSRL), Tata Infotech Limited, as a Senior Research Member, in 2001, he was associated with the R&D Group at Aquila Technologies Private Limited, India, as an expert for developing virtual self line of e-commerce products.

In his current role as a Principal Scientist with the TCS Innovations Labs - Mumbai, he is actively working in the areas of speech, script, image and natural language processing with a focus on building usable systems for mass use in Indian conditions.

He has coauthored a book titled Bayesian Approach to Image Interpretation and more recently a Springer Brief on Non-linguistic Analysis of Call Center Conversation apart from several patents, journal and conference publications.
Dr. Kushal R. Tuckley Oral Session 2.2
Dr. Kushal R. Tuckley, is the Chairman and Director R&D in AGY Systems Pvt. Ltd. He had professional education in IIT Bombay, with B. Tech (EE, 1985), M. Tech (Comm. Engg, 1989) and Ph.D. (2009). He has worked as a scientist for about 25 years in Society for Applied Microwave Electronics Engineering and Research (SAMEER), Mumbai, a premier research institute in the field of RF and Microwave system Engineering. He had a stint of about 7 months at Astra Microwave Products Ltd., Hyderabad, the largest Indian private company for microwave products. He has a vast experience in Digital Signal Processing, RF and Microwave engineering. He has contributed in design and commissioning of many prestigious systems of India. He has published many articles in the peer reviewed, international journals.
Dr. Supratim Biswas Oral Session 2.3
He is Professor in CSE Department at IIT B since 1995.He completed his Ph. D. in Compiler Optimization, IIT Kharagpur, 1981. He has been a member of Board of Governors (BOG), Chairman Senate Nominations Committee (SNC) and Dean of Academic Programs in IIT Bombay in the past. He was a Visiting Fellow at the Center for Supercomputing Research and Development (CSRD) at University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign (UIUC). His research interest includes Programming Languages, Compiler Optimization, Parallelizing Compilers, Parallel and Distributed computing, Combinatorial Optimization.
Mr. Nimish Somaiya Oral Session 2.4
Mr. Nimish Somaiya is currently working at Reliance Industries Limited as AVP - Data Science and Analytics. He has more than 22 years of experience in IT industry. His Expertise is in solution designing & architecture, strategy planning, creating technology / service offerings roadmaps, people capability building and resource management. He is also expert in handling global client consulting engagements and delivering as per stakeholder expectations, Drive global programs and projects end-to-end, with focus on building corporate competencies. He has been working with the companies like Datamatics, IBM, Patni and Tech Mahindra. He has delivered projects all across the globe for global clients including GE Aviation, Coca-Cola, GE Plastics, SBI General Insurance, British Telecom and Cisco among others.
